Fake Court dates on Deportation Documents. Why and how this is occurring.

Throughout the country people have been receiving fake dates and times on their notice to appear. This means extremely long lines, confusion and it is affecting the people that actually have court that date. People are getting deported because they didn't "show up" for court even though they have been waiting in line for hours to go into the court. This is occurring in backlash of the court ruling that NTA's have to have a time and date, not just "to be determined". Many immigrants are suffering because of the chaos with the court and USCIS.
The Miami Herald states "Justin Sweeney, an immigration attorney in Fresno, California, says other people have been issued nonexistent dates, such as Nov. 31, and that others have received dates that appear to be correct but, when the immigrants appear at court, they discover that their case wasn't scheduled or that it was slated for a completely different date. "They're 'dummy dates.' That's the term that gets thrown around," Sweeney said. "It's a serious problem nationwide.""
